At the Centre for Muslim Wellbeing (CMW), we believe that every community deserves to feel seen, heard, and supported—especially in times of crisis and change. That’s why we recently contributed a detailed submission to the Victorian Government’s Multicultural Review.
Our message was clear: while many programs are working well, including multicultural grants, health messaging in diverse languages, and the support of cultural celebrations, it’s time to move beyond one-off events and token inclusion. We need systemic, long-term investment in the wellbeing and leadership of multicultural communities.
This submission is informed by our direct engagement with communities across Victoria and reflects the everyday realities and aspirations of our diverse population.
We’re proud to represent our community in this process and continue advocating for policies that truly support inclusion, equity, and wellbeing for all.
